International Antalya Sand Sculpture Festival (SANDLAND) is a mega exhibition of sand sculptures that organized by Global Design Art Works. International Antalya Sand Sculpture Festival is considered the one of the largest sand event in the world, by the size of its sculptures and the area they occupy.
Festival theme changes and exhibition is visited by thousands of people every year. Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Antalya Promotion Foundation, Antalya Journalists Association and many other agencies and organizations supports the festival. Every year, a group of sand sculptors, from all over the world join to give shape to 10.000 tons of sand, in an area of 10.000 square meters.
This year the theme of the, 8th International Antalya Sand Sculpture Festival is the ”7 Wonders of the World & Mythology”.
Sandland also incorporates a playful dimension with a space for sand sculpture activities, where each day, adults, teens and children may experience and show their creative abilities in this form of artistic expression. In the nights Led lightning system offers colorful and magnificent atmosphere to the exhibition area. Beside this visitors can watch the festival documentary dvd by the sine vision system during the night. Also visitors could watch video mapping show all night long.
The Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival has been organized by the Turkish State Opera and Ballet directorate since 1994 with international participation by opera and ballet companies from several different countries.
The festival is held annually in the two-thousand-year-old ancient Roman Aspendos Theatre of Aspendos, near Antalya, Turkey. The theatre is noted as one of the best-preserved antique theatres in the world, with many original features of the building remaining intact.
The Festival is one of the most important culture and art events in Antalya and will again be hosting famous local and foreign performers.
The concerts of the festival will take place at Antalya Kültür Merkezi (AKM – Cultural Center. The festival will also offer public concerts free of charge, conversations, exhibitions and workshops where students and artists are brought together. With its slogan “Music in the City” music lovers will experience an extraordinary feast of music every year.
Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is a film festival, held annually since 1963 in Antalya, is the most important film festival in Turkey. Since 2009, the event, which takes place in the autumn months at the Antalya Cultural Center (Antalya Kültür Merkezi, AKM), has been organized solely by the Antalya Foundation for Culture and Arts (Antalya Kültür Sanat Vakfı, AKSAV) and has included an international section within the main body of the festival.
